Do you have a second LCD display available? If so, substitute the old LCD with the new one and see if the problem really lies on the display.
If you don't have a second display available, then use the osciloscope to check if the signals involved with the LCD functionality actually reaches its pins.
Was the LCD working fine until now and suddenly stopped?
yes it was working fine and suddenly stopped
no i would have to arrange the second one and it take 2 to 3 days
which pins are you referring to ? and what should be the peak & voltage of the signals ?
Although it did not happen to see a case where LCD stopped working, there is the possibility of a broken LCD, since it was working until now. This is what you need to find out.
That should be written in the LCD's datasheet, absolute maximum ratings section. If you are having a hard time finding that out, you could post the datasheet.
Hi, I have a problem that when my lcd monitor working properly my brother suddenly push it down, then i took that lcd and switch on it, It will work fine, but yesterday its not work what is the problem..
I think the problem may be bad solder joints in the monitor's circuit board. Check also electrolytic capacitors in the power supply/CCFL inverter circuit.
there does noy seems to be recurrent problem with these monitors.
like misterrf said, check for bad soldiers, check capacitors (search for bulky ones)
if you have an esr meter, check the electrolytics with it
if you dont have anesr meter, check on my web site to quickly build a cheap one : **broken link removed**
then check the capacitors.
dried capacitors, or too high esr capacitor are 98% of today's faults in electronic equipments
and then a dry capacitor can lead to a transistor failure, and so the switch off of your monitor ...
