I just blew out the amp in my stereo receiver. How do I fix it myself without taking it to a repair shop?

Re: Repairing an Amp

Yeah, I simmilary wondered if I could repair cavity in my tooth by myself. If Mr. Bean can do it, I could do it too!

C'mon, you are not that stupid... I hope.

Re: Repairing an Amp

nvm i just fixed the fuse

Re: Repairing an Amp

it was'nt a cavity
just stale food stuck between the teeth

Re: Repairing an Amp

Sorry, assumption was that you already checked fuses and inquired how to gain knowledge of electronics repairman in two days. My bad. Usually, any technically inclined users will first check fuses and seek help after that.
Just in case you experience flooding in your residence i would suggest you to try closing valve before calling plumber.

Re: Repairing an Amp

oh come on

knowone blindly just replaces a fuse and carries on

unless there daft

first look for the cause of the blown fuse/s {like shorted speaker outputs or blown p.a transistors / package...}

then continue

mr bean doesnt do this he just replaces the fuse with silver foil or a nail
