How to realize a circuit that its output pulse freqeuency is 3 or 4 times larger than the input pulse frequency?
Please see the attached figure. Thanks [/img]

Hi all,
Use a PLL.
Experts can help you with details and materials.

The duty cycle of the input pulse signal is variable and is very small.
The duty cycle of the output of PLL is fixed...

there is not a direct method for the same

come via oscillators

the reference fr will be multiplied and controlled by using phase locked loop

the PLL application can give you many frequencies at one use

so try PLL otherwise explain your problem in details

I think the best way and solution is using PLL.
It can generate what frequency you want.

Do you need your output pulse-width to be the same as your input's??

diemilio

If you just need the output, and if signals are at a low freqency, GO DIGITAL. You can design a finite state machine (similar to a counter), with separate clock running at higher freqency.

You can use a filter to get the 3rd hormonic, then use comparator as the follow.

But the filter should be good enoght.

Or, you can use mix to double it twice.

But PLL is the best choice.

DLL is another choice.

Place en edge detector and a monostable after the PLL then, it'll give you whatever duty cycle you want. A monostable may do that on it's own even.
