Hi ALL,
I have two operating systems on my PC, windows XP and RHEL. For some reasons I re-install the windows and so the grub of the RHEL was lost.

How can I re-install another grub ?

Thanks in advance

Re: installing GRUB

Hi

I have some bookmarks to some HowTo but never tried it..
Try grub-install /dev/hda from a bootable linux distro with hda needed to be changed.
Here are other ways:

This one is straightforward:

Perhaps this one is better:
**broken link removed**

This how to is made for ubuntu but since it is grub I think it is just alright.

Good luck and please tell me the progress, I might need it soon :)

installing GRUB

i re-install with my FC3 , i think it will be the same with RH
1- boot using CD1 of FC3.
2- dont enter graphical mode but instead enter the following command linux rescue
3-enter the following : chroot /mnt/sysimage
4-enter the following : grub-install /dev/hda --note i assumed that ur disk which u want to boot 4m is hda , u should change it according to ur disk "can be hdc in case of two disks , i think hdb is for the CDROM"
5- enter : exit >>>or just restart
