vswr circle

Hi all,

I have imported some measured data froma network analyser and is now trying to plot a constant VSWR circle (e.g. 3.5) in the smith chart in Microwave office. Can anyone help in this?

Thanks in advance.

Make up a schematic with a 50 ohm port that is terminatd with a 50 ohm resistor. Add to your Smith chart the measurement Linear,Circle, MMCIRC and set the source to your schematic. Note the return loss in dB so use RL=-20*log( (vswr-1)/(vswr+1) ) and you should get 5.11 dB for 3.5 VSWR. You may want to set the schematic frequency to a single point and reference that in the measurement.
