Hi guys,

I'd like to know if someone can tell me how can I do a step response in cadence using a current source or so.

What I want to do is to perform a step in the load of my converter in order to see how he responds to that step.

kin regards.

Use an isource current source with PWL control parameters:
Code:
ipwl1 (1 0) isource type=pwl wave=[1n 0 1.1n 2] pwlperiod=5n
The SPECTRE GUI will present you a menu to insert the PWL time/voltage parameter pairs.

Hi erik thanks.

In the isource where says source type, I selected the pwl. Then some fields have appeared.

Frequency name 1
waveform entre method: file / current/time points;

number of pwl/time pair

delay time.

Do I need to select Current/time points and past the expression that you posted in the field number of pwl/time pai and then that menu will appear in the SPECTRE GUI or I just put the isource select pwl and then wait for the GUI?
