Sha measurement problem

Hi all~
I';ve a question about SHA measurement.
I want to measure SHA's performance, not simulation but real chip on PCB.

Then Can I use Spectrum analyzer??
I think there's problem....
please tell me How can I measure SHA and What equipment can I use??

Thanks in advance

Sha measurement problem

Excuse my ignorance, but What is SHA?

Re: Sha measurement problem

There are several ways to measure the SHA in the lab:

1) Direct measurement: if your SHA can drive 1Mohm impedance, then you can hook up your SHA to the spectrum analyzer and measure the THD, SNR, etc;

2) Indirect measurement: have another ADC with higher accuracy and higher bandwidth. But you need to be careful about the possible aliasing problem when external ADC is used. One way to avoid is to adjust the timing of your ADC sampling instant to avoid the inevitable glitches resulted from the SHA.

3) Digital scope: this is equivalent to method 2), and is subject to the scope's accuracy and sampler speed.

Sha measurement problem

SHA is sample & Hold Amplifier.

And Spectrum analyzer can measure SHA??
though SHA's output is discrete function?
