Hi All,

I am an ASIC/SOC designer and verificationer, and I am very
interested in the fields of DSP and Wireless comunication. I believe
the two fields should be very hot in the coming years. So how to
learn the two fields quickly in the hardware and software design
points of view? Anyway advice is highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Firstly, you should take a DSP programming kit
Secondly, should get some documents in practice and try to exloit them.
When you get in fluence with these ones, try to go up to higher level.

Thank you Tutx, that is very helpful!
Do you have any idea on DSP chip design?
I am very interested in both DSP hardware and
software. I believe people who have good DSP
experiece should have a bright career.

Thanks again!

Best regards,

hi ,
i agree with u "I believe people who have good DSP
experiece should have a bright career. "
i think this is a trend dsp becoming more and more important!
but in china, there are a small number of RF and dsp enginner,

For RF IC design, there is few guy. But for DSP, it is not like that especially for DSP software development. There are many engnieers in China, Most of them develop on Ti or AD DSP platform.

i think DSP and wireless communication system contain three part : baseband ,IF and RF. as far, IF can be digited and digitally pocessed. i believe digital signal pocessing below IF is more active and followed by a bright career. so i suggest you focus on this field.

For digital baseband design... U shud first understand DSP Concepts. Try out a DSP book like openheim and shiffer. Then digital communications systems. and finally u shud find the spec for which u have to design the baseband... for eg 802.11a,b bluetooth etc
