one paper use a pair of emitter followers which is put between LNA output and mixer RF input (the mixer is typical fully balanced Gilbert mixer) to increase mixer bandwidth.

could you tell me the mechanism to increase bandwidth?how can it make it?
how to select emitter area of this emitter followers?

use resistive loads this will increase the BW
the emmtitetr followers are buffers so the mixer don't load the LNA

khouly

the input BW is RC, 'cause input impedance of emitter followers are very large, the use of emitter followers can increase mixer BW. is it right?

then how to decide emitter area of emitter followers?
