Signal Integrity issue

Hi
IS there any possible way to include on board capacitance in PCB design ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Signal Integrity issue

Hello

The answer is yes but only practical for low capcitance issue because larg value caps will need lot of PCB area and hance not practical

Some Very high frequency RF 7 Digital design use capcitance control when thay design the PCB

All the best

Re: Signal Integrity issue

Hi,

Google for "burried capacitance". It's basically two layers with extremely thin prepreg between them. The reduced distance results in increased capacitance up to a point where it actaully becomes of some use. You will also find fortmula's that will allow you to calculate how big a plane will yield how much capacitance.

Enjoy,
