I design a regenerative frequency divider that is operated at 8GHz but the circuit just has a fequency range of 2.5 GHz at 8 GHz. So how to improve frequency range of the regenerative frequency divider?
Regenerative dividers are pretty twitchy due to the (obviously) frequency-dependent nature of the phase shifter element. It isn't very practical to cover multiple octaves with a single delay element -- in fact, I'm surprised yours works continuously from 2.5 GHz to 8 GHz.
Wenzel Associates sells prepackaged regenerative dividers, if you're just looking for a ready-to-use implementation.
