i want to calculate the 3 phase r.m.s voltage using the 4 sample method algorythm.
can any body send me data how to implement the 4 sample method technique using HC908Qy4 motorola microcontroller.or any microcontroller...?

Re: 4 sample method

I never heard of such a method, could you plz tell more about it?

Re: 4 sample method

this method used to calculate the 3 phase r.m.s voltage in electrical power application microcontroller based.this method is the best if the supply contain harmonics and disturbance.
this gige best accurete reading....
but i can't find a lot of data describe the implementation of this method using microcontroller.

Re: 4 sample method

please send more details about the 4 sample method itself
and then we can help u to build this algorithm using any controller

Re: 4 sample method

hi
if you have two sample s(t) and s(t+T/4) of sin.. signals ,
you can calculate peak of it by Sp²=s(t)²+s(t+t/4)² .
For each sample u must give same sample near it for filtering
like moving average or suming filter.
Srms=Sp/√2

Re: 4 sample method

your method works then on sinusoidal voltages and currents. It is of no use for non-sinusoidal signals.

4 sample method

yes
acc to moaa reguest ,he/she talk about 3 phase
power system measuring.
