Could someone tell me how to get S-matrix by using incident wave excitation??
or get me a sample???
I use HFSS to simulate.
I use the wave port instead of incident wave before, it does not work when the material is anisotropic .

I don't think you can using the user interface in HFSS. The only way I remember was using a script that you get from Ansoft support, this is usually used for FSS simulations.

Re: how to get S-matrix by using incident wave excitation??(

In HFSS 11 you can define PML boundaries instead of waveports to get S-Parameters. For one PML the "Reference for FSS" option needs to be set.

Good luck!
