hi
i would like to measure signal quality on pci express signals, coming out of various devices in the system. for this, they have to constantly generate some signal. in my system, there is no link between 2 devices, so i can not push data through for the measurement, so the device has to generate a pci-express data pattern continously, until i say stop.
how to make a pcie device (intel chipset in this case) to continously generate a test pattern or other signal? where do we enable these modes, which registers/bits? is there some small program to do that? if there isnt, then i may write one, just i need to know which registers. i couldnt find it on the datasheet.
