Hi All,

I have given a clock, can anybody tell me

How can i find duration of clock ?

Possible Solution is to capture time at posedge and negedge, subract first from second and multiply by it two.

Is there another way to do this.

Also one more question

What if instead of clock i am having a signal...
 

Hi,

For any signal your method can be used. (that was implemented in capture modules in uCs)

For a clock signal, it can be improved by counting several clock signals and getting the average time duration.

Hi, to do this you need consider the accurate you want. You need take the clock jitter in the clock you used to calculate the signal and something else that may influence the calculation accurate.
 

I am asking about using Verilog Code.

Suppose you have been given a problem to detect duration of clock using Verilog how will you.
