how to drive 4" seven segment display

I want to drive 4" seven segment display (25 nos.) 5 X 5 matrix form.
But I do not know how to drive 4" seven seg display .
Please suggest any driver IC also Latch for that.

But, you can control 4 sev. seg displays without using any driver/latch ICs, by using multiplexing techique.

Means you controlled 20 displays by only mutiplexing and not by using latch or driver IC?

Oh...Sorry, not recommended for large nos like that...

Use shift registers etc..

i've made my own digit 3" with 74HC595 and uln 2803,i can drive a lot of digit's in this way,with serial data,very easy to use.

i can attach a several digit,but i need to redo my layout,i put an IC on a wrong side....
and flip ic layout too....but it's an experiment and work great!!!


i can supply layout only,i've don't made schematic.
