How to do partition resizing without losing OS?

hi,
i have assigned some partition size to the linux when i first installed it, and now i wanna decrease this partition size without losing my linux.
so, any help??

i am using partition magic, but it refuses to resize the linux partition particularly

Did you try fips? It runs from linux.
