How to design flyback transformer for SMPS to test the circuit on lab? Do you know any tool can help to make transformer calculations based only on voltage , current switching frequency?

Also, attached is a flyback txfmr and flyback for 12vout and 20wout.
Also contains LTspice of it, which is free download for all.

You can wind any turns you like as long as...

you dont saturate core
your winding loss not too high
YoUR primary and secondary rms are reasonable
You can produce vout from vin in the smps
you dont have too much leakage
Your isolation is good between pri and sec.
You have a way to terminate the windings that works.


Best way to start is to just do it...then see what youve done..then change it....like in the excel doc attached.

I think with txfmr winding , when youre starting off, if you try and plan everything perfectly before you start, then you will never get started.
