Im still new in analog circuit design , i was asked to design a band pass filter Front end transmitter for RFID application at 868 MHz using 0.5 micron CMOS technology.
I would like to receive suggestions , where should i start and what is the main thing i should have considered to design the band pass filter.
Any web sites or tutorial that can explain to me will be more helpfull. I do hope you can help me. I wil appreciate for those who help me.
Why would you want to filter at RF-Band? Are you planning to make a preselection filter with CMOS?
Or is it Image-Rejection? Then I would use an image rejection mixer.
You can filter at baseband with continous-time active filter or switched capacitor filter.
For simplicity, you can get some ceramic filter for appropriate freq. or just build a bulum or even some microstrip lines on the PCB.... but that hasn't count on their signal loss.
you may need to add some amplification circuit after that.
Can everyone give me some hits to design the RFID baseband. Since it return signal level is very low. However, it will destroy the waveform if the signal amplified too larger. Please give a help to me !!!
