hai.. how can i design a simple rectifier?? :D

rectifier circuit

just 4 diodes

Re: rectifier circuit

Hi,
Attached is a simple handrawn power supply schematic. You will be able to get 9 to 15Vdc depending on the type of voltage regulator IC used (IC1).Please select primary voltage of transformer T1 according to the mains supply voltage in your country. Let me know if you have any other questions.Hope the schematic helps.

Regards

Re: rectifier circuit

thanx.. but what if i would like to use a half rectifier? what is the value of the resistor??my power supply is 5 V...:D

regards..

rectifier circuit

Hi Ojah,

Could you be more specific. Which resistor are you referring to??..... Regards

Re: rectifier circuit

hi frd
just use a 9-0-9 transformer
then use bridge rectifier
then use 1000uF capacitor
then use 7805 regulator ic
then use 100 u F capacitor

then u will get 5v o/p

Re: rectifier circuit

Hi,
Attached is schematic of what Puneet described.
It's that simple.Just follow it and you will be fine.

Re: rectifier circuit

it is better if you use the bridge circuit and rectify, if you want it to be rectified without the diode drops then use the op-amp rectifier in which the feedback is given using a diode.
