how to control dc motor (bi dic.) via l293d via AT82C52

heyy everyone..
sorry can you help be with an advice here.. i am making a project and i have to use atmel 8252 and control a dc motor bidirectional via a L293d driver..
and its my first time to use the driver here.. soo can any one tell hoe to make it work (hard @ soft ware) thanks alott
 

Look the datasheet of L293D, you will find two ENABLE pins and some selection input pins.

ENABLE pins enable that particular driver section.
Apply different combinations at the other input pins and see the polarity of the voltage at the output (there are only 4 combinations). Note down what should be the input so as to get the required polarity (motor direction). Give those combination from AT82C52.
