How to connect ge684-py gsm to PC

Hi everyone

I am trying to connect my gsm to PC hyperterminal and send AT commands,but I dont get any response.on the hyperterminal (at the bottom bar where is shows the duration of connection),it shows Autodetect,not the baute rate,but when i connect the PIC18f452 to PC i am able to see the baute rate.

Is there any configuration or any special connection i must do between the gsm and the PC?

The module is GE864-PY not GE684-PY

When you setup Hyperterminal ensure that you disable the hardware (rts cts) and software (X-on X-off) handshaking
