How to configure U-BOOT for PC compatible board?

hi, i wanty to use u-boot for a PC compatible target board. but i can't find any configuration file for PC. does anyone any experience about that? please help me.

There is already support for x86 on U-Boot.
There is an existing i386 in U-Boot. So you should be able to use 386 compatible processors. All the supported boards can be found at /u-boot/boards/ directory of source.

But if your board is not supported, may be you have to write board support files specific to the board. But most of the boards vendors used to provide u-boot firmware with the board itself.
