How to change the baud rate of Holux M-89 GPS receiver?

I want to change the baud rate of holux m-89 gps receiver. How can i do that? Or can i do that?

I have Make a project with Holux M-89 GPS at 4800 baud. Now with any reason it is switched automatically to 2400 baud. It gives data on 2400 baud rate. who can i change its baud.

I am using that in my project, I asked that to my provider and they told me that you can not send commands to that one... that there is another model that does accept commands... but I can live with that for a cheap price.

I received GPS from two vendors, multi time.

one is providing M-89 with 4800 baud

while other is providing with 9600 baud.


How can they change baud?

I think you have to communicate with your M-89 through terminal by enter commands based on MTK NMEA Packet format. In your M-89 specification, Holux didn't mention about those commands, they just provide you format of these commands. However, I have done some research on Google and you could find a document about these commands with a phase "mtk nmea command".

Hi All, did any one succeeded in configuring the Holux M-8929..?? I have tried the different Commands of MTK but to no vain.. I send the Commands through my Arduino is..
