I hope this is the right forum to ask in. If not, I'm happy to re-post in the correct forum.
I've searched the user guide, Googled, looked in forums, (where did the Actel.com forum disappear to?) and not found the answer.
In the new Windows Libero IDE (9.10.18, v9.1), I have a design based on the igloo nano (done about 3 months ago). I would like to change the family to A3P250 ProAsic3 device, but the project manager doesn't seem to allow changing the device family.
Can I edit the xml project file by hand? If so, what do I need to watch out for?
The design is complex enough that it will take a couple of days to recreate it in their visual designer system with a "new" project, so it is worth taking a chance with a copy of the project folder.
I'm still a newbie, so some of this is not obvious to me. Is there another approach I should take?
I completed a Xilinx vhdl hand coded design a few weeks ago, but Actel tools are different.
Thanks in advance!
