Hi,
kindly help me if someone knows how to calculate RMS Phase error.I have simulated data and measured data , but i don't know how can i calculate reference phase state? If someone have idea how to calculate reference phase state plz let me know.

Because according to RMS error formula i need difference of two states, If my one state is simulated state values than for rms phase error second state will be reference state values.Than i can take difference of all states and square than add all divide all by number of states and than take square root of all. After this all i am able to plot all.

If someone have idea how to calculate reference phase state plz let me know.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

phase jitter:

* take a number of measured period times
* calculate average of all period times

then calculate:

this gives the jitter in time

phase(RMS) = t(RMS) *360° / (t_avg)
