calculate mu

Hi all,

I'm simulating simple split ring resonators with wire (left hand metamaterial).
So, I have plane wave and two ports. It seems all results of S11 and S12 are ok.

My question is: How I can calculate effective Mu and effective Er from these results??

You should take a look at the following reference (among the others)

X. Chen, T. M. Grzegorczyk, B.-I. Wu, J. Pacheco, Jr., and J. A. Kong, "Robust method to retrieve the constitutive effective parameters of metamaterials," Phys. Rev. E, vol. 70, p. 016608, 2004.

Hello,

I sent you email to your account.
Just as information: I'm using Microwave studio CST in the simulation.
Thankks for all.
