how to calculate inductance

Hi,

Could anyone give me some guideline on drawing inductor in virtuoso layout?
I am designing an optical receiver including 10nH inductor.

Any suggestion will be a great help and highly appreciated.

For calculation consult the extraction rules file of your PDK. Here's an example of such a rules file (for a much older process technology), which includes inductor extraction:

Thanks for your help.. Now I found out that if I use the inductor from "TSMC018 Library", it will auto layout for me. Initially I was using inductor from "Analog Library". Same apply to resistor too.
