how to calculate maximum discharge capacity of a capacitor? suppose if i am using a 1000uF capacitor then i wanted to calculate two things:
1. Full charge time and its full discharge time
2. Maximum current drawn at an instant

thanks

Is your question related to pulsed power electroncs with very high discharge current?

General rule of thumb is that it takes 5 time constants ( so 5*RC) to discharge/charge a capacitor. Remember that the voltage across a capacitor does not change instantaneously, but the current does. So the maximum current is at the start and is simply V/R
