Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum.
Recently, my lecturer gave us an assignment , the objective is to convert 12V AC power supply into between 4.9V ~ 5.3V ...
So I wanna ask , how to do it ? I wish to see some simple circuit schematic diagram, so maybe I can take it as reference...

If i understood you right, you want to convert a 12V AC to ~5V DC....
If thats the case, a simple 7805 IC will do the trick. Take a look at this link : 7805 Regulated +5V Power Supply
It is a regulator circuit. If you do not want to use IC's, then you can find plenty of Rectifier and Regulator circuits online.
Yes. It can convert voltages beyond 8V to 5V. I think the upper bounds of Vin is ~ 15 - 18V. I can take ~12-15V AC input and ~18V DC input.
Refer to the data sheet for exact values though.......
