Load program from disk, place and configure it in memory and run it? This is embedded RTOS for 8-bit uC, not OS for PC.

Click to expand... Salvo Pro comes with sources. I don't use it, so I don't have it. But as far as I know, Salvo 3.2.3 Pro was available somewhere on Internet.

Microchip's PIC16F877A MCU uses about 70 bytes of RAM and 800 bytes Flash.

Isn't it possible to write code for PIC on external storage device and the PIC fetches commands and executes them? In that way you can have much more coding than that of the PIC's flash memory.
