Hi Guys
I designed a half wavelength transmission line, I would like to know the accurate length of the transmission line. I planned to connect the transmission line to a 200 Ohms resistor at the end on the PCB. Measure the S parameter through network analysizer and the calculate the length of the transmission line accurately.
I have a few questions here:
I connect the resistor directly to the end of the transmission line, is it correct? Will there be any losses significent which will affect the measurement?
Second, what will be the accuracy of the PCB fabrication, can they maintain a fabrication accuracy of 1mm?
3. What will be the length of half wavelength the transmission line at 2GHz with PCB dieelectrical constant of 4?
Thanks a lot
