How the conducting vias (from top layer to bottom layer) are made

Hi,

I have to make a 2 layer PCB and have to use a machine which can only drill and mill the material to be used for making PCB. The material to be used has copper on the top side and bottom side and between these sides is a substrate. What I don't understand/know is how to make conducting vias which can link traces on the top side to the bottom side?

"Conducting" vias are galvanically throughplated. The process involves extensive equipment and chemicals. It's hardly available for home elaboration.

The easiest way you can do is to keep the vias little big, insert a thin copper wire into it ,solder the wire on top and bottom sides. Done!!
