im trying to provide power to my PCB using a 9V battery. however, the 10 pins on the left use 3.3V and the 10 pins on the right use 5V. I know i should use a voltage regulator to do so, but im afraid that my circuits basics are not that good.
could someone plz explain to me how the voltage regulator circuit should be connected.
oh, and the voltage regulator im using is the LM7805

Here are two separate regulators for 3.3V and 5 volts. For getting 3.3.volts, connect 12 volts to the input and adjust the variable resistor (2K) till you get 3.3volts at the output. Whereas no adjustments are required to get 5volts as it is a fixed output regulator using LM7805. Hope it helps you. Do not forget to press the "Helped Me" button. Good luck
The voltage from a little 9V alkaline battery quickly drops below 7V.
The LM317 or 7805 have a minimum input of 7V so they won't regulate 5V long.
Use a low-dropout 5V regulator that still regulates 5v perfectly when its input drops below 5.5V.
The LM317 needs a 120 ohm resistor. The more expensive LM117 can use the 220 ohm resistor.
hi dear
u can use this ic to get 5 voltage.the connections are specified.
NOTE:
a input voltage should not be more than 12 or 13 volt, because ic will burn.
and also a input voltage should not be less than 7 or 7:30 because ic can not operate.

The IC will not burn.
They have "thermal shutdown" so they simply turn off when they get too hot.
With a big heatsink they should be able to dissipate up to 18W each.

Where i have to feed the unregulated voltage and from where i have to get the 5 volts with a capacitor and a resistor? Where is the IC? which ic is that?:?::?::?::!::!: Any ways there shud be some good logic behind yourr thinking coz this the second time you are posting the same schematic. Please guide me.
