Dear fellows,

My sim548c is connected to USB port of my laptop through regulator bought at ebay
wpid-2012-10-09-10.46.08.jpg
Sim548c is working, I can see from the led connected to status pin and sim548c is also can accept at commands such as at+cpin , at+cgatt=1, at+ciicr and other commands and also sending sms successfully , but when trying to establish connection using gprs at+cipsend it return error and sim548c is restarting. SimCard is gprs enabled, tested using another 3G modem.

People is saying that it is because of insufficient current.
My question is :
1. USB port is 500mA right? CMIIW . so SIM548c is working at 500mA
2. Tried feeding with 3A current, sim548c is working ( status led is light-on ) but cannot send and receive for at commands. Is it because of too much current ?
3. what kind of regulator needed to Sim548c running gprs mode, do you guys have something to share about it ?

please help.
