I am confused on how many FFT points need to be used in the design. Is it 8 points, 16 points , 32 points or.....?Please help me on this. siva

The FFT will simply give you the PSD at the frequencies Fs/N, 2Fs/N, 3Fs/N, ..., Fs/2, where Fs is your sampling frequency. Increasing the #points just gives you more resolution in the frequncy domain. -b
