FFT for 2.45GHz rfid

Hi,

I am currently implementing a FFT for 2.45Ghz rfid system. I am confused on how many FFT points need to be used in the design. Is it 8 points, 16 points , 32 points or.....?Please help me on this.

FFT for 2.45GHz rfid

usally you need over 1024 data points for a FFT, the more the better

Re: FFT for 2.45GHz rfid

What are the frequencies you are intersted in?

The FFT will simply give you the PSD at the frequencies Fs/N, 2Fs/N, 3Fs/N, ..., Fs/2, where Fs is your sampling frequency.

Increasing the #points just gives you more resolution in the frequncy domain.
