I really want to learn AVR ARM.. but for right now I think going with the AVR 8-bit risc is the way to go.

I will be using bascom to dev my avr risc apps.. and I am just wondering if I want to start programming for the AVR ARM, how difficult will the transition be? (Basically I want to run linux on these devices.. )

thanks for any help!

Hmmm..

You better start learning C , WinAVR for the Atmel is a free , full development suite.

I think neither Linux not Arm goes verry well with Bascom.

But if you use C , then it could be "easy" to port the apps to Arm.
