How do a lock-in amplifier and coordinate converter work?

I need your help

I am not sure about how a lock-in amplifier works in the detection of the higer harmonic signals. And how does a coordinate converter work?
Hope someone can tell me some models of the lock-in amplifier and coordinate converter.

Well lock-in is a technique of PLL. Tell me if you know what a PLL is?
