how can we send data by infrared diodes?
why 38kHZ Freq. used to send data ???

i want to send 20 data code via infrared 3meters .
any help will wellcomed.
any schematices
any avr bascom code
thanks in advance

Search forum for "RC5 AND remote".

IR is sent generally using 35 to 40 kHz carrier with simple on/off pulse modulation. Usual 3-pin detector ICs have an internal demodulator and signal presence/absence of the carrier on output. RC5 is the popular coding scheme used by nearly all remote controls.

Following file includes many document (in pdf) related to circuits, IR protocols, IR motion detector and lots more. ENJOY
