i've setup the avaliable vias including microvia(via7t8) and throughvia etc, BGA was placed at bottom layer 8, When fanout by pick BGA, however, it always use throughvia, never the microvia via7t8. how to fix this?
Re: How can i specify the microVia when fanout BGA in Allegr
A similar question was asked and answered before on this forum.
When you do "fan out by pick" use pop up menu to go to setup, here you can specify your via type to be used in fan out.
Yes, i think i do the right thing as you said. in the "setup" popup menu, there are some tags:"fanout, bus routing seed vias,Testpoints, etc." is it right?
Does the via was setup under the "testpoint" tag?
Thanks. :|
Re: How can i specify the microVia when fanout BGA in Allegr
you need to setup uVia as your primary or default via.
Otherwise it will not use uVia for fan out or even during interactive routing.
You can assign primary via in setup.
Test point vias are used for ICT and other testing purposes they are different from other vias in the sense that they have their masking open from either top or bottom as per assigned.
they play similar roles as Test points.
