Operation: Vin="1" --> NMOS is ON, PMOS is OFF --> Vo goes to zero through the NMOS. Vin="0" --> NMOS is OFF, PMOS is ON --> Vo goes to VDD through the PMOS.

But CKT(4) is also inverter..... and I I think the CKT(3) is inverter But the Prablem is how can compare these inverters in terms of speed , power and area

(Not good for power loss but faster) Fig. 4 inverter but Vin=0 Vo=Vdd-Vth (Not good) Fig. 5 inverter and not any problem (Good for speed and low power)
