How can count the number of MOSFETS at a hierarchical design at virtuoso schematic editor?

There are skill routines which traverse the hierachy and you can generate your own statistics and store them in a textfile. I have seen some using this to annotate on a schematic symbol to shown some other hiearchical derived parameters like total power or estimated layout area.

What I am wondering about this is that Cadence does not supply this useful skill codes with the installation. Everyone have to invent it again.
