how a 230 V Ac line powered LED lamp works ?

AC line powered LED Lamp

Can anyone explain to me how a 230 V Ac line powered LED lamp works ?..one dat i saw recently contains 20 LEDs connected in series..There was also a high voltage capacitor..I m nt sure bt it containd a bridge rectifier also..?

This circuit shows how to connect one LED, but can be easily modified to connect more LEDs in series ..
Adjustment can be done with different capacitors ..
Just keep in mind that for ac voltages Rc (or Zc) = 1 / ωC ..
