Hi

Would you please help me to know the fundamental difference between horn speaker and 'normal' speaker? Is this anything have to do with the sound quality? Isn't the sound quality of horn speaker bad as compared to normal speaker, and isn't horn speaker specifically made to amplify human voice only and is not suited for music playback? But I think the sound produced by horn speaker can go a long way.

A horn speaker in general has the advantage of higher efficiency (louder output with the same input) compared to a normal speaker because of the horn in front of the speaker.

There are many horn type speaker that are suited to different frequency ranges, they are even used in some expensive high quality loudspeakers because of their sensitivity and are well suited to small output tube amplifiers.
for example ( the price is just UK £12,950 !!!)
