Hai, every one

I am working on XMC micro controller,i have some doubt about hibernate mode. please explain me about what is the hibernate mode and what is the importance of it in micro controllers?

Thanks & Regards,
Chandu.Kurapati.

Hibernation mode is equivalent to sleep mode.
Micro-controller goes into low power mode to save the power.
In thia mode most of the peripehrals are disabled.
This is basically used in battery powered applications where device have to operate for long duration.

In hibernation mode the controller is clocked using low freequency clock, several wake up interrupts are there bu which controller can wake up from the sleep mode and run in normal mode.
