Hi,
So I have an urgent problem.
I'm trying to design a cavity/resonator coupled to a multi step CPW filter.
Now, individually everything works properly, but when I couple and try to model, it doesn't work well.
I've used the standard suggested wave port dimensions and still get nothing. The field at the port is often non symmetric which i take to mean higher order modes are propagating.
So, my question is as followed:
1) Since the two ports are at different ends with differing W and S spacing, does each port need a specific sizing?
2) Is it possible to plot (E) the field through the model as a function of say distance?
3) I've tried making a comparison with AWR and find discrepancies, is this normal?
4) How do I test to see if the right modes are propagating?
The goal is to obtain the right frequency response as to then obtain the correct real part of the Y parameter along with proper E Field profile.
Thanks. This is pretty urgent, so I would really appreciate a quick response. Thank you guys.
