Hello,
I am trying to build a X-Band (8.4 GHz) Probe Fed Patch Antenna that will be added to satellite structure on HFSS.
After I built the patch and made it resonate at 8.4 GHz, I tried to increase the boundary of radiation so the radiation box can reach beneath the antenna as well (since the patch antenna will have satellite structure at the bottom later). At first, it gave me an error, so I attached a very thin PEC cylinder, with the radius of the waveport on the bottom of the probe. I don't know if this is the problem of the probe or my dimensions for radiation box, but now the antenna is not resonating at 8.4 GHz. It still does resonante at 8.4 GHz if I let radiation box cover only above the surface of dielectirc. Can anyone please explain this?
I am trying to attach the file here, but it is keep saying invalid file.
