Hello everyone,
I'm new to HFSS. I'm trying to simulate a monopole antenna, with a coaxial feed in it. It works fine when just the antenna is simulated as the exitation port is on the Air box boundary. But once I integrate it with the external structure and surroundings, I had to shift the port to the middle of the model. This is causing a lot of problems with my simulations.
Can anyone suggest an alternative?
When i try to run your file, i get a bunch of errors of intersection between different structures. which CUBESAT design is this which exceeds the values of CUBESAT dimensions?
Regards

These are the errors to be addressed. you will have to do Boolean operations on these to have the simulation run.

I believe you started off with using a wave port. A wave port requires its face to touch the boundary (air-box) which you have set. Once it does not touch the boundary, it gives errors. For your case, you can try using a lumped port. Afterall, it is not a waveguide antenna of some sort.
A waveguide doesn't have to touch the radiation box for sure, there are many a ways where you can have the waveport inside the radiation box provided it is shielded with PEC cap. Apart from that the errors that evident here are due to interaction between two or three different surface which needed to be sorted out by Boolean operation.
