How to calculate power dissipation in SMD resistor, which is part of the radiating structure, i.e., connected in series with a single-sided PCB (printed circuit board) line. It is clear that P=I2*R, where R is the resistance of the resistor and I is the current through it. But the question is, how using Field Overlays to correctly identify the magnitude of surface current density to then calculate the current. Do I need to define the line as BC Finite Conductivity, or as a PCB with a finite thickness, and the SMD resistor to set as BC Lumped R. Or to use the model resistor, a resistive layer BC Layered Impedance on ceramic substrate?
The frequency range 500-1500 MHz.
